SELFLESS SERVICE…

Hey there, we just initiated an important phase of the year where not only Rest and Recuperation (R&R as we say within the military community) becomes highly encouraged; it is actually a moment for spiritual introspection.

Yes, it is. And for those who rolled up their (three not two) eyes hypothetically saying… It is not only to hang out at the beach, into the woods,Vegas for self rejuvenation or like one of my friends would love to say “hibernation status”.

Let me explain myself, when I referred to 3 instead of 2 eyes, I’m approaching that inner voice that we all carry as one of our best gifts. Our intuition, sixth sense, sixth chakra or ajna (in Sanskrit translated as our Command) center.

We all are gifted, we come from the same source of divine light. And if just came to your mind then why people die ? why is there suffering? war? natural disasters? and so forth ( otherwise I wouldn’t be able to end this article).

Darkness and light are two interdependent forces of energy, that not only rule our planet, as such our physical, energetic, emotional, intellectual and spiritual bodies as known (within the holistic community) the five koshas.

We are energy as explained through the menu, specifically at Breath and Pranayamas section.

As such, our bodies generate enough electricity to fuel an IPhone in 70 hours.

Everything we do is controlled and facilitated by electrical signals running through our bodies.

Otherwise our brain wouldn’t be able to communicate with a skeleton of 206 bones and more than 600 muscles.

In other words energy is our main Life Force.
How can we nurture our Life Force and fulfill any of our goals, besides physically working it.

Sometimes by giving without expectations…

Wait, please don’t shoot me. It is not about coming the Pleaser of Humanity…

It’s about mindfully stop thinking a little bit more about our selves, our ego. It’s about compassion, kindness, being grateful for our lives, our jobs (which pay our bills and medical services)  it is about paying forward the sacrifice that Jesus did for humanity before, across and after his cruxifixction.

Didn’t that sustain the interdependency of  darkness (Yin) and light (Yan)?

My friends an important trait needed on our spiritual walk of faith is Selfless service.

Sometimes we worry about ourselves and our wants rather than wanting to give others our time and our help, but this should not be. We must have empathy for others and put ourselves in someone else’s shoes. The only thing this selfish world cares about is what is in it for me?

We don’t need a reason to serve and help others we just do and we do it expecting nothing in return…that could be a good start.

Let’s humble ourselves and put others before our personal interests or agendas.

We must allow the divine light to conform our lives into emphatic support and compassion .

Jesus had it all but for us He became poor.

God humbled Himself and for us came down from Heaven in the form of man.

“Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself. These two commands are the most important.” Mark 12:31

Selflessness doesn’t end at loving our family and friends. Scripture tells us to love even our enemies…

Forget about the wrong things people do to you. Don’t try to get even. Love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.- Leviticus 19:18

Clearly manifested as “Don’t waste time hating or feeding resentment, as He will take care of everything beyond our jurisdiction”.

We are sooo gifted that are provided with a free will in order to discern between darkness and light, shadow and light, demons and angels, so we can learn to create awareness regards that “Divine Light” which cannot be taken for granted.

Instead should be respected and hence appreciated. That way we can accomplish our goals and fulfill our life purpose the safest possible way.

Free will exists to teach us how to discern from right and wrong learning to make boundaries, hence balance. So we can return to our divine source without cohesion.

As believers we must be a reflection of Jesus. Selflessness or selfless service resulting in sacrifice for others, forgiving others, making peace with others, and having more love for others, as much as we would like to be provided by the same blessings.

Have a peaceful week, Good Friday and (soul healing) Resurrection Sunday
