“We don’t read and write poetry because it’s cute. We read and write poetry because writing is the painting of the voice and we are members of the human race.
A race that can’t live without being able to communicate.
The human race is filled with passion, with a Soul frequently set on fire to paint its voice in writing about;
Medicine
Law
Business
Engineering
which are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life.
However, poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for.
There are hundreds of practical professions, but it is poetry (with love) the best medicine for a Soul.
